ACUPUNCTURE

ACUPUNCTURE

This ancient form of Chinese medicine restores the balance of life force energy, called chi, flowing through and around your body along pathways called meridians. Correcting blocked and unbalanced energy, through the gentle insertion of needles along these energy channels, can have deep and lasting impacts on both specific issues as well as on one's overall state of wellbeing -- body, mind, and spirit. Your body possesses an innately powerful ability to heal itself. Tap into this naturally therapeutic power to address a variety of health issues.

The Mandala Center believes acupuncture has the potential to alleviate pain and treat physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Open communication with our acupuncturists is essential to ensuring clients receive the best form of treatment to address their health needs.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncturists insert tiny, thin needles into the skin or tissues. Great care is taken to help clients feel comfortable while the needles are in place. The more relaxed clients are during treatment, the better the results.

QUANTUM TOUCH

Quantum-Touch is a method of natural healing that works with the Life Force Energy of the body to promote optimal wellness. Life Force Energy, also known as “chi” in Chinese and “prana” in Sanskrit, is the flow of energy that sustains all living beings.

Gastrointestinal: The discomfort of a gastrointestinal issue can cause a person to feel uneasy discussing it with others and to avoid seeking treatment. This program encourages clients to eat a proper diet, practice relaxation, and utilize positive thinking to reduce gastrointestinal distress, anxiety, and negative thoughts.

Infertility: Dealing with infertility is a difficult journey for both men and women. This program may be ideal for those who want an alternative or a supplement to traditional reproductive procedures.

FAQs

DOES IT HURT?

Acupuncture rarely is described as painful and can be adjusted if the client feels discomfort. The needles are used once and not designed to cut the skin. Instead, when an acupuncture needle is inserted, the round edge pushes the tissue aside without cutting it.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE A TREATMENT?

Clients typically are seen once a week and may experience immediate relief from acupuncture, but it can take as many as four to six treatments. Acute conditions often resolve much quicker than chronic conditions. The benefits of acupuncture tend to last longer when clients receive more treatments. Follow-up treatments are scheduled for routine maintenance or when new symptoms arise.

WILL INSURANCE COVER ACUPUNCTURE?
